The Yellow Rose Award is an honorary pinnacle at Marvin Windows + Doors, headquartered in Warroad, MN. The idea of wall installation as a living, commemorative piece at Marvin HQ was proposed by our in-house creative team. Leadership loved the idea, found space in the leadership suite, and so began the journey. Drafting from Marvin's iconic Yellow Rose branding, I built on the idea of a garden trellis made from geometric shapes, using materials native to Marvin's product fabrication. I partnered with a fellow Marvin employee and master woodworker, Kyle Koch, who took my schematic and brilliantly executed the 9ft x 5ft natural pine installation. The wall will update annually with award winners’ names and location, celebrating exceptional Marvin employees.
